--JEN'S ENCOUNTER #2--
Perry Ellis/Details/NBC Fashion 101 with Will Estes in Denver, CO - 10.23.04
We met him in Denver, CO on Saturday, October 23. I actually live in Kansas City, Missouri, but my friend Gretch and I decided to drive out to Denver to meet him again.
So.. here's my pictures and review:

Gretch and I arrived at the mall and nearly got lost while searching for Shay. We met her in the area where the event would be held. There was a black leather couch and chair set up, along with a matching ottoman. The woman running the event set up a chain to start a line. We stood around chatting with each other for a bit and then Will's car pulled up outside. He came in and they took him right to a changing room. When he came out, he had changed into a blue dress shirt and black pants. He sat down and the woman told the first person to go, but only one person could go at a time. Kind of made me mad because Gretch and I couldn't give him the book together. Gretch went first, chatting and taking a few pics, and then she moved aside and the lady told me to go. My nervousness suddenly hit! LoL But he's such a nice guy, that its hard to be nervous around him. He looked at me and said "We've met before, haven't we?" Yay! lol I told him yes and he asked where. I said Kansas City.. "Oooh okay! What was your name again?" I told him Jennifer and the lightbulb clicked on. He gave me a quick hug, rather than a handshake. We took a quick polaroid (the event was taking them) and then.. *drum roll* I told him about the fanbook. I told him that Gretch and I had gotten a bunch of fans together and made him a birthday fanbook. He said "Wow.." and he put his hand over his chest like he was in awe and amazed. I opened it up real quick to just show him a few of the entries. and then I handed it to him. He asked if it was for him to keep and I told him yes. He said wow again and thanked me before giving me another hug. He asked if I wanted another autoraph, but I said no thanks since I already had one from January. And then I mosied along beside Gretch. We waited until after he was done with everyone else. He went away to use the restroom and take a quick break, and when he returned, there were a few more people in line. After they went through, the lady asked if we were waiting for the contests to be called and we said no, that we were waiting to see if we could get a quick picture with Will and the fanbook. He was just peachy with it so we took a group picture, and then asked for a picture of him and the book. After we took that, we just stood around chatting. Gretch asked about his hair.... and I can't say anymore about that because it's a spoiler! Eek! LoL Bad Will, Bad! And then I asked about his family and where they lived, since we knew they live in the Kansas City area. And we talked about his dog.. lol I also asked if I could get the autographed frame, just so I'd have a keep sake to put my picture in. He was like "How do you spell your name? I don't want to spell it wrong." I spelled it for him real quick and he said "..ifer. That's right." Then one of the ladies that worked there said that he'd better go so he could get to the airport. He thanked us all for coming and said goodbye as he was leaving.
All in all.... it was an awesome time. Definitely worth the 10 hour drive it took to get there and back home. He is just one of the nicest, sweetest, and most polite celebrities you will ever meet. He's so very down to earth and listens to you sincerely while you're talking to him.
